NEXT ASSIGNMENT: Pet Peeves

Students,
For a coming presentation you should consider several pet peeves you have and discuss them with examples. What's a pet peeve? It's not a cat named Peeve. It's an annoyance that especially irriates you. I'm sure there's a lot more that annoys you in life than teachers, or classmates who get higher grades than you (actually the latter is not a pet peeve but a sin called "envy").
    Examples of pet peeves:

People who cut into queues to get in front of you.
People who hack (clear the throat continually).
People who don't cover their mouth when they cough.
People who get too close when they talk.
People who talk with their mouths full.
Classmates who mumble among themselves while you're trying to listen to the teacher.
    Students who talk in libraries.
Students who bring food into libraries (though today most libraries prohibit this).
People who talk loudly into their cell phones in public.
Students who eat hot foods in classrooms.
Students who stop on the stairway to hold a discussion.
    Motor vehicles on sidewalks.
People who kick your seat when you're watching a film.
Teachers who give assignments about pet peeves.
Teachers who use too many colors in their handouts.
Choose 2 or 3 of your own and discuss each one, making clear the offense (you'll have to google for a correct vocabulary), giving examples, the degree of your irritation, as well as your response to the offender, if any.
This will be due after we complete our Twilight Zone assignment.
